Kahanda Kanda vividly translates as Yellow Moon Mountain. Also known as KK, this ethnically stylish private villa is perched on a ridge overlooking Koggala Lake surrounded by 12 acres of a working pea-green tea estate and verdant jungle. It also has a beautiful moss-green cement infinity swimming pool with cascading water feature at the far end. A striking saffron-yellow wall with framed windows runs 80m through the length of the property and divides the panorama of views between those of Koggala Lake, and those of the tea and jungle.

Honeymoon Suite
Furthest away from the main building, the Dubu Suite is set within an old Javanese Joglo house. It features a four-poster bed with a sitting area and has two bathrooms. The indoor bathroom has a shower and full size bath tub, while the outdoor bathroom comes with a central shower. In addition the suite also has a private infinity-edged pool.

The estate provides much of the fresh produce that goes into its fresh fusion cuisine which can be enjoyed poolside or even as a picnic in the beautiful tropical garden. The two resident chefs have both been trained in Thailand and so while they are able to create a mouth-watering range of flavorful Thai dishes, they are equally at home creating delicious Sri Lankan and Western inspired cuisine. KK leaves the timings of mealtimes up to the guests. You can ask for a table to be set up wherever you wish.
Just for the kids
As KK is most suited for couples and groups of friends, kids under the age of 12 are discouraged in order to maintain the tranquil ambience.
