Mirissa is all about lazing in hammocks and sipping on coconuts as you paddle in the waves, or better yet going diving or snorkeling in the surrounding areas and heading out to sea in search of whales. The beauty of this bay is breath-taking, perfectly crescent-shaped with golden sands and an ocean of surreal cerulean – a total tropical paradise. A very popular tourist spot, particularly between December and April when the sea is in season, Mirissa is nonetheless worth visiting and is undoubtedly home to one of the most spectacular beaches in Sri Lanka.
