Built in the 1940s, Stone House is a five-bedroom colonial mansion located in the hills of Kandy. Surrounded by well-tendered garden and verdant mountains in the distance, Stone House offers guests the luxuries of a private getaway with all modern-day facilities.
Stone House features three luxury rooms, two fully-equipped suites and an outdoor pool on an elevated rocky platform, shaded by overhanging trees, complete with sun bathers.
The five rooms are categorized into three Standard Rooms, a Junior Suite and an Executive Suite and have been designed under the guidance of seven local artists to ensure that each room maintains its uniqueness.

The three Standard Rooms are located on the ground floor and is furnished with king-sized beds complimenting furniture and ensuite bathrooms. One of the rooms is larger than the rest and can easily be converted into a triple upon request.

Stone House provides delicious, home-cooked meals and don’t have set meal times. Enjoy the best of local curries and Western cuisine, in a dining experience that’s personalized in all aspects; from what you eat to when you eat. Feel free to chat to the property’s friendly kitchen staff about meals. The kitchen is well-equipped to serve Sri Lankan breakfasts of traditional string hoppers, or eggs, toast and marmalade. A light lunch can be served up at any time, not to mention delicious Continental or Sri Lankan dinners coupled with chilled drinks. Fresh coconut juice, tea and coffee, drinks and snacks are available throughout the day.
