Whales by air
BackClimb aboard a 3-seater plane and fly over the beautiful and unspoilt coast of southern Sri Lanka in search of whales. Sri Lankan waters are home to sperm whales and the magnificent blue whales, and seeing them in all their glory will be an encounter to remember. The whole experience would take about an hour.
Experience Overview
Aerial whale watching ensures you have the best views while causing no disturbance to the waters below. This also helps you avoid crowding and sea sickness, if that is something one is prone to. The 1 hour flight which takes off from Koggala will also allow you to see the lush countryside of South Sri Lanka. So on the off-chance there are no whale sightings, you would still have plenty to photograph.

Managing Expectations
“
It is important to remember that, whilst they are experts in their field, the people who run or host our experiences are not necessarily used to working in the tourism industry and may not offer the level of service you would find at a five-star hotel. For example, instead of a formal lecture, you may get a relaxed conversation where open discussion is encouraged. All of our hosts are, however, extremely engaging, knowledgeable and passionate about educating visitors about their chosen subject and we have worked with them to ensure that they deliver worthwhile, fulfilling experiences. We welcome feedback, so please let us know what you thought and if you think any improvements could be made to the experiences we offer.
