Staying on the borders of Yala National Park is an unforgettable experience, which allows you to enjoy the remarkable beauty of these wildlife reserves. Located 15 minutes from the Katagamuwa entrance in the buffer zone, Leopard Safaris specializes in unique tented, mobile-camping safaris in Sri Lanka’s major national parks. The tent providers use customized Toyota Land Cruisers for the game drives which can handle every kind of terrain, provide an excellent view, and are specially fitted with camera support points for photographers.
Leopard Safaris operates on an all-inclusive basis offering tented accommodation, two game drives per day in a customized vehicle accompanied by an experienced guide, snacks and drinks on game drives, all meals at camp, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and all park entry fees. If guests are interested in going on a private game drive accompanied by a naturalist an additional supplement is applicable.

Accommodation at the campsite is available in South African style tents with single, double, twin, triple occupancy and family tents that can accommodate regular and large families. The tents are furnished with king-sized beds and private verandas with comfortable chairs. Hot showers are always available as well as flush-able toilets.

Influenced by African design and made out of recycled wood, the two Luxury Lodge tents are for those who seek ultimate comfort and privacy in the wilderness. Cuisine
Despite the remote location of your campsite, the chef magically creates excellent cuisine similar to that of a five-star hotel. The food is beautifully presented, and thoughtfully served alfresco in highly scenic locations such as on a riverbank, beside a watering hole or in a shaded jungle clearing. Delicious rice and curry lunches and cool cocktails and chilled beers can be enjoyed at the makeshift ‘river bar’. Typical evening BBQs make for special occasions washed down with a chilled glass of wine.
Just for the kids
The camp welcomes families with children of all ages. The family suite makes it easy to accommodate up to six people in one living space. A baby cot, baby car seat or children’s’ high chair can be arranged on request. The camp’s ‘Kiddies Dinner’ is an early dinner for small adventurers and can either be served near the lounge, or in the dining area under supervision of the camp’s staff to give parents a small break. All children’s meals are child-friendly versions of the Sri Lankan dishes on offer.
