Surrounded by verdant mountains and rolling tea plantations, Thotalagala is a luxurious seven-bedroom boutique hotel. The bungalow served as an abode to several notable British planters who supervised tea estates in the central highlands around Haputale before it was transformed to its latest reincarnation.
Decorated in floral prints, the bungalow’s two main lounge areas: Morning Room and Main Lounge are warm and inviting, and serve as the perfect place to browse through the many books they have with a hot cup of tea. In addition, they also have a Cigar Room, which should be explored during a spare minute or two. The bungalow also has a pool overlooking the garden and distant mountains.
The seven suites are categorized as Junior suites and Suites each named after a planter who played an important role in promoting tea in the area.
We welcome children 8 years and above.
