Perched on a hilltop, a stone’s throw away from the UNESCO heritage site of Galle Fort, Villa Templeberg is a 150 year old classic Dutch colonial manor house situated on a sprawling five acre coconut plantation with an inviting 30 meter infinity pool.
Established in 1864, the villa pays respect to its Dutch colonial past with statement antiques but also manages to reference modern day touches with a number of soft furnishings and pieces from the owner’s private collection, from travels through Scandinavia, South East Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
Ten staff members including a private cook, gardeners, housekeepers, house boys, private tuk-tuk drivers and masseurs are on hand to ensure any stay is memorable and enjoyable. They are all fluent in English, Swedish and Sinhala.
