Tucked away down Middle Street, 20 Middle Street is a beautiful colonial building that was once the residence of a Dutch merchant. Painstakingly renovated by its current owners, the villa has retained most of its colonial features including its arches, columns, high timber roofs and teak windows and now operates as a holiday home. The idyllic wooden gate at the entrance opens on a classic Dutch archway that leads to the sprawling living room stylishly decorated with whitewashed furniture and complimented with antiques from across the world. The main house consists of a living room, library, games room inclusive of a billiard table and two bedrooms on a mezzanine floor. The rear doors open onto a wide veranda complete with sofas overlooking a central courtyard garden brimming with flowers and the pool pavilion. The pool pavilion has one bedroom while a separate annex houses two bedrooms. 20 Middle Street can be booked in its entirety during the Christmas and Easter season and can be booked by the room rest of the year. The villa can accommodate up to 10 guests.
