Ambassador’s House was home to the representative of Pakistan, Iraq and Bangladesh until it was recently taken over and restored by its present owners. Designer Charles Hulse, long-time resident of Galle Fort, made extensive but thoughtful renovations to the old archways which has allowed light and air to flood in – the old property it is now a spacious five-bedroom villa which comfortably sleeps ten guests. The house is set back off the road, with a columned entrance leading into the sitting room which has deep and comfortable sofas. There are four rooms with double beds and one twin room, all with ensuite bathrooms, with two of the rooms on the ground floor overlooking the pool. The master suite and twin room are on the upper floor.
