Settled within a former coconut estate surrounded by canopies of lush greenery, minutes from the 17th century Dutch Galle Fort, Ginganga Lodge is a six-bedroom nature retreat ideal for those who are looking to escape their busy city lives. Bordering Gin Ganga (river), the retreat is architecturally designed and decorated using local material and décor to blend in with its environment. Ginganga Lodge is a haven for couples and travelers who are looking for some quiet time.
A winding passageway takes you to the main pavilion which comprises of a living area, restaurant and dining area overlooking the pool. The living area is well-appointed with wooden flooring and cozy furniture complimented with a mix of local arts and crafts.
Ginganga Lodge has six rooms categorized as three Standard rooms, two Luxury rooms and a Suite, all set minutes from the main pavilion to provide privacy and easy accessibility.
The hotel also has a spa offering a selection of massage treatments.

Occupying the space of a modern cottage, the two doubles and twin come with polished cement floors and French doors that open on to a garden. The double rooms are furnished with a four-poster queen-sized bed and the remaining room has four-poster twin beds. In addition, the rooms also have a wardrobe, a reading nook and ensuite bathroom with an open-air shower.

The two Luxury Rooms – Ginger and Heliconia – are housed in a chalet built over marshy land and share a capacious sitting area with views of the surrounding nature. These well-appointed rooms are cozy and come with rustic furnishings including queen-sized beds and wardrobes and are decorated with local art pieces Each room has an ensuite bathroom with an open-air shower with hot water.

Set away from the main pavilion, Ginganga Lodge’s suite – ‘Rice Paddy,’ is an expansive bungalow that can easily house a family of four but is also decorated in such a way that it is cozy enough for a couple. The suite comprises of a living area and a four-poster queen-sized bed, two private patios and an ensuite bathroom with open-air showers. The suite also comes with a complimentary private breakfast service served on the verandah
