Golfing at the Victoria Golf and Country Resort is paradise for keen golfers, as the spectacular course is one of the most picturesque in all of Asia. However, if golf is not your thing, there are plenty of other activities, including walking, cycling and horse riding, as well as a swimming pool and tennis courts. Artists are sure to be inspired by the landscape, so it might be worth bringing a watercolor set. This is a great area for adventure lovers as the resort lies in the shadow of the Knuckles Mountain Range, a wonderful landscape for nature walks and more serious treks.

 If you decide to venture out of the resort then you can visit a nearby tea estate and the tea museum at Hantane. There are also many things to do in Kandy which is a short drive from the Victoria Estate, including visits to the majestic Temple of the Tooth, which houses Sri Lanka’s sacred relic believed to be the tooth of Lord Buddha, and the glorious Royal Botanical Gardens which were developed by the British in the 19^th century using many plants shipped over from London’s Kew Gardens.
